SBA Expo ‘04:Celebrating National Small Business Week


The Minority Business RoundTable (MBRT) is pleased to co-sponsor SBA Expo '04 in celebration of National Small Business Week. Please join us in Orlando, FL, May 19-21, 2004 for three days of exciting and informative  activities specially designed for small businesses.       

Highlights include the Business Matchmaking program, special value-added  feature to Expo which pairs you with federal and corporate buyers  interested  in your products and services, a televised town hall meeting with SBA  Administrator Hector Barreto and Department of Commerce Secretary Donald  Evans, and over 300 exhibitors featuring the latest products, resources  and services for small business owners. 

MBRT will be co-sponsoring the SBA EXPO 04 and hosting the Department of Defense panel for its presentation on  "Doing Business with the Department of Defense; Transformation of the Industrial Base" on May 19th at 2:30pm-4:30pm following the Champions Awards Luncheon.  Frank Ramos, Director of the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business, Department of Defense, will be discussing the role of small and disadvantaged businesses in DoD.

"How can small and minority businesses can and do play a significant role in providing value engineering solutions to the Department of Defense "

Panelists:            

Staff from the Department of Defense, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization will be on-hand May 19 from 2:30-4:30 during the Minority Business Roundtable (MBRT) discussion to offer insight on: DoD specific small business programs and opportunities; the need for small business innovative research and technology; and, the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) program and Value Engineering. 

We are expecting approximately 350 Minority and Small Business CEOs to attend.  A Welcome reception will follow the presentation later that evening at the Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
